On return trip home surprised by Tame Boars in Zone 4. Gilmour seriously wounded; lost tail turret, stb. ammo box inop, rudder was hit. We scored no hits on any of the fighters that attacked us.
We made a safe landing but Gilmour could not hang on. He died shortly after we landed. Poor bugger.
