All was well until Zone 8 when we were surprised by some nasty Jerries. We lost ailerons and flaps and tail turrent became inop. In zone 10 we lost Wright to another attack and suffered flak hits which started an oxygen fire near the mid-upper gunner turrent and an our starboard flap was shot up. Despite the hits we put 30% on target.
We turned and headed for home. We took more damage from sporadic German attacks and Wicket was wounded.
We landed safely with 285 Peckham points. Wicket will survive but his flying days are over.
