Quite the trip I'd say. Usual appearance of a nightfighter over Holland, he snuck up on us and managed to put a few holes in the port wing before we gave him the slip. Enemy was very active near the target, it just wasn't Rumbolds night as the Jerries keep getting the drop on him. We got spotted by a searchlight as we neared the drop, all but blinded Smythe, as he appears to have missed the target. Jones in the mid upper got a Wild Boar that attacked from 9 High, we last saw him in a dive trailing flame. Jones would get a 110 as we did an evasive over Holland on the return trip, I think the Jerry stalled out as we spiraled around him and Jones got a long burst into him. We took a fair number of hits to the wings, but the ground crew says they are mostly superficial.
