Our second mission and Chris and the crew were raring to go.
However it didn't take long for the whole thing to go belly up. We'd been flying though Belgium air space for barely twenty minutes, when a tame boar got hold of us and try as we might, the whole damn bus shaking, we just couldn't ditch the thing. Bully took a few shots and to his credit so did the new boy Sandy, but all to no avail. In the meantime jerry put a hole in number 1 engine, causing a leak, and poor old Sandy found his heater gone. As a result, with so much of the mission left, I felt it best to ditch my load and head home.
All in all, a bit of a cock-up.
Respectfully,
Pilot Officer Christopher Jenkins-Lacey
