Brunswick October 24/25 1943
An ME110 jumped us over the North Sea Coast off Denmark and worked us over pretty good. We took a total of 12 hits throughout the plane and tailgunner Link was slightly wounded. Violent corkscrewing eventually lost the enemy A/C. We continued to target and managed to get 20% of our load on the TIs.
The trip home was uneventful. The base MD patched up Link's hand and crew and aircraft will be ready for next mission.
