Mission 15: Magdeburg

Skies were clear until the target Magdeburg.
Target zone: ME 110 surprised us, and hit us twice, starboard wing, no damage to flap and pilot compartment seriously wounding the navigator.
He came back at 9 level. We went into evasive maneuvers. All gunnery missed, as well as the ME.
He returned at 10:30 level. With nav wounded and bombardier in position, no defensive gunnery. The ME missed again.
Searchlights caught us. So did the flak, getting 1 hit on the starboard wing, destroying the raft.
An ME 109 came in 10:30 level. Again, no defensive fire. The 109 gets 2 hits, on the waist giving the mid-upper gunner a LW and tail getting a hit on the O2 supply.
He comes around again from 10:30 level. This time he missed and left.
Run was on target, with 20% success.
Skies were again clear on the return trip.
Navigator was grounded due to his wounds.
