Met first fighter resistance in Zone 5 to target. Managed to shot out our auto-pilot system right off. Caused a wing root hit and wounded Anderson as well. Damaged an attacking Me110 in zone 6 who caused us a bit of damage. Allen killed a 110 in zone 7 before the bugger could even fire. Over the target, took some minor damage from another 110 before Anderson got him. A Me109 took us on from the front and Ansell shot him up pretty good and chased him away after he caused some minor hits. Flak caused a horrendously scary moment as a shell penetrated the nose but did not explode. Anderson delicately dropped it through the entry hole with the same precision with which he hit the target subsequently. Glad he was wearing that lucky rabbit foot !!!!
Smacked the target with 60% and turned for an uneventful trip home. Ansell survived having heat shot out with no permanent frostbite effects.
