Zone 6 outbound we were attacked by a tame boar fighter that took out #2 engine (feathered) and caused some superficial damage. Attacked by more tame boars in the next four zones with Allen managing to kill one in zone 9. Anderson damaged 2 and Allen damaged another one. No searchlights found us and no wild boar either. Flak hit us 3 times, but luckily nothing serious with the exception of our control cables being lost causing the bomb run to be off target. Heading back were hit in zone 7 and lost #1 engine (feathered). Limped home with only one lackluster tame boar attack in zone 4.
We were very fortunate that Jerry's aim was off tonight. Seven Me110's attacked with most taking three passes. We managed to spot most on initial attack and subsequently killed one and drove off another.
Recommend Terry Allen for commendation for achieving Ace status and protecting the ship with his uncanny alertness.
