Jumped by Tame Boar in zone 4 which shot up our starboard wing root and took out the #2 engine which feathered. Took a quick poll of the boys and we decided to continue on even though it would be a long trip outbound. Hit again in zone 6 with minor damage resulting and Price killed the 110 with his first shot on its second pass. Attacked twice in zone 7 with Price receiving a light wound and our navigational equipment destroyed. Continued to target where we were attacked by another 110 as we lined up for our run. Hit our starboard inner tank which sealed (thank God). Price killed the bugger as he came in on his third attack. Hit by flak which caused us to veer off target at the last second, which resulted in a 0% bomb run.
Jumped again in zone 7 inbound with some minor damage including a port wing root hit before Anderson potted the Jerry. Managed to land safely at base. The ground crew boys tell us the old girl will be ready for the next mission. New engine and all.
