Uneventful trip to target tonight. Did not see any Jerries until zone 6. Me-110 surprised us from 6:00 low, but caused no damage. He also missed us on his second pass and Allen blew him out of the air as he made his third. Another sneaked up in zone 8, missing on his first two attacks and Price took this one down.
Hit by flak over target, losing #3 engine. Bomb run on target with 40% damage. No fighters seen on return trip as we nursed the old girl in on three engines.
Anderson a bit upset as this 110 would have been his Ace kill
had anyone seen it go down. Allen got his seventh confirmed and Price got his fourth in only three missions. We're lucky to have him in the crew.
