Quiet trip until zone 6. Surprise attack by Me110 who missed us on first attack then came around to try from 12 high. Superficial damage occured and Allen damaged him as he passed. Surprised again in zone 7 by another Me110 who wounded Ashcroft and took out our navigation equipment. Allen managed to drive him off as well. Bomb run off target with 0% results. Encountered another 110 in zone 6 on way home, but he was a terrible shot and missed us on three attacks.
Ashcroft had to be sent home due to wounds. John Riggins will be replacing him at navigator.
