German Red Cross reports German Navy E Boat rescued a British Airman from the water after seeing a explosion in the air over the over coast. Initial Indentification of airman is F/O Mike Mann. Details to follow at a later date. 8 months later a letter was received from F/O Mann telling of the last mins of Jersey Bounce, it appears an ME-110 attacked them as they were crossing the Dutch Border and started a fire in the #1 Fuel tank and as the pilot tried to put the fire out the wing explode and sent the aircraft crashing towards the sea. Only F/O Mann was able to bail out in time.
