Back to Berlin. We form up into a stream of Bombers and head toward Germany's Capital. As soon as we head into the Reich, we are intercepted by a ME-110. And suffer with a blistering barrage! The Port Wing Aileron is hit and rendered Inoperable. the rudder takes a hit! As the fighter passes underneath the rear 110 gunner hits us again and wounds two crewmembers! The Radio Operator & Mid-Upper Gunner are both lightly wounded! The 110 comes around again and the Starboard wing Aileron is hit, but causes no damage. The 110 then comes at us in a vertical climb! hitting us four times! the Pilot Comp. heat is out! We finally slip away. And another 110 picks up our trail. We take a hit and the Port Ammo box is hit. He comes around and and the number 4 engine is hit and destroyed!
We finally get over the target and another 110 finds us. We take a hit in the Tail. The Tail oxygen supply is hit! The 110 comes around for another pass and we take multiple hits! The Starboard Ammo Box is hit. And the starboard elevator is hit and rendered inoperable. The Pilot is hit! and is seriously wounded! He comes around for the last pass and his hit by the Bomb Aimer, causing the fighter to miss and fly off into the night. We avoid the Flak and drop thirty Percent on target! We turn for home and avoid detecting for awhile. As we are almost away a final 110 finds us. We take a hit and the Starboard wing Aileron is hit. The 110 comes around and is hit by the Bomb Aimer, which causes the 110 to miss and fly off. We then fly on and find our way back to England for a succesful landing.
