Saskatoon Mission 28 AAR : Berlin

Smoother mission than anticipated. Jerry must be taking his Christmas break. Attacked by an ME110 as we entered zone 5, but was driven off by Sgt. Latimer. No other enemy activity until zone 9 when we were jumped by another 110. This one poked some holes in us until Sgt. Mostyn sent him spinning down out of control. Over Berlin an ME109 came at us from 12 o'clock. Special mention goes to Flt. Sgt. Barker, who hit the beggar hard with a one-in-million shot that the 109 in a dive with flame coming out of his cowling. Flak hits put a few more holes in our ship and hit the oxygen supply, but the bomb run was on target at 30%. Return to base was without further incident. Damage to aircraft superficial save for one oxygen hit. All aircrew ready for duty.
