Our flight to the target went without a hitch, as we approached the target a Me110 attempted to sneak in from 6 o'clock low and was knocked down by our rear gunner. Over the target we were stuck by flak to both wings and the port landing gear. The flak was followed up by a Me109 which caused some superficial damage to the mid section. In return Jerry went down in flames. Despite the distraction of both the flak and fighter we place 30% of our bomb on the target indicators. On our way home after crossing the German border we were surprised by another Me110. He managed to know out both the froward and rear guns, in addition to raking the ship. Sgt DelGado managed to hit him and drive the Hun off. We put the old girl down despite the damage to the landing gear. All the crew will be fit for duty hopefully for the next mission.
