About 20 minutes after the raid began, our searchlights found an English heavy bomber approaching at 3000 meteres, well below the main force. I ordered our fuzes set for this altitude and after a brief barrage, the aircraft exploded. If any wreckage can be identified, credit for the destruction is claimed by the second battery.
