We had no issues taking off and joining in the bomber stream. Shortly before entering Germany we were attacked by a Me110, which attacked from 6 o'clock low. He shot up the ship and slipped away into the night. All of the damage was minor and we continued on to the target. Upon reaching the target we were picked up by searchlights and stuck by flak. The flak caused our bombs to fall wide of the target are, no more than 5% landed on the target indicators. Damaged to the oxygen system force us down to 10,000 feet for the trip home. The remainder of our flight was quite and we encountered no additional enemy aircraft. Upon landing we discovered that our landing gear was also damaged by the flak.
