Mission Description:
Berlin, Germany - Industrial
31st December 1943/1st January 1944
We were cut a break on the trip in till we ventured past the halfway point. This is when we saw a constant effort by our adversary. We had four tame boars in rapid suction make runs at us. These boys inflicted a majority of the damage we received. Yet none of this had deterred us from our goal. Lt. Springer was able to place 30% of our bombs on the intended target. With only one attack after the target we were relieved as our upper turret was out of commission and the rear turret was jammed. The majority of the trip home was quiet.
