Spotted a 110 over zone 6 and took evasive action. Berger blew him up as him started his second attack. Over zone 9 we spotted another Jerry, but were unable to hit him. Fortunately, he could not hit us either. Approaching the target, we spotted another 110. Hit us on his second attack, causing much superficial damage to our port wing and waist section before Berger shot him up and Allen finished him off in a blinding flash.
Bomb run was excellent with 40% damage. Homeward leg was free of fighter interference and landing was uneventful.
Not a bad night out for the Old Girl's 20th … 2 Jerries, no damage to speak of, and good bombing results.
