First 110 encountered over netherlands. Tail Gunner Roger Humphrey spotted it before it got into gun range. We evaded his first two passes before P/O Stallings shot the 110 out of the sky.
Second 110 spotted shortly after passing into Germany. Humphrey again spotted before he could get a shot off. Humphrey managed to do some damage to the 110. Our new M.U.G. Corporal Danny Evans, did more damage as the German came around for a second run.
Over the target, we had to evade one more 110. He did some minor damage to our port rudder controls. We evaded the flak and delivered our cargo. P/O Stallings believes about 1 in 5 bombs hit the target.
We encountered no enemy on the way back to base and landed safely.
