We fly out towards Brunswick. no enemy activity for awhile. Then a ME-110 comses at us suddenly. We take a couple of hits. the rubber rafts are destroyed. sure hope we dont end up in the Channel tonight! We manage to give him the slip and fly on rough weather over the target. We see another 110 and exchange gunfire. We take a few hits, nothing serious. on his last approach the 110 is hit by the tailgunner and he limps off. We manage to drop 30 percent on target! we turn into the storm and fly home. No further difficulties encountered on this night.
