Dunkirk was seen bombing target with 30% observed results.
Radio transmissions were picked up near the Netherlands that they had lost two engines enroute to target, had shot down several enemy twin-engines fighters and were attempting to reach England. Shortly after that, another report was received stating that after dropping altitude, flak took out another engine and they began to jettison remaining loads in an attempt to reach the English coast.
Tragically, as Perry was transmitting, another crew spotted a lone 110 approaching from Dunkirk's 6:00 which flamed their port fuel tank, resulting in a mass bailout. Six chutes were observed almost immediately, with another seen shortly thereafter. Position was over the western area of the Netherlands.
