Mission Description:
Berlin, Germany - Industry
19th/20th February 1944
Mission 44;
This trip was very unique as we only saw one enemy aircraft and the new kid shot him down after the Me110 missed his shot. That was on the way back. We never saw any fighters on over the target.
The weather over the target was less than hospitable yet Lt Mitch was spot on getting around 30% of our load on the assigned target zone.
Our return to base was good landing with no incidents.
