Quiet flight until north of Emden when a 110 attempted to sneak up. He was potted on his third pass by the mid upper. Attacked again sw of Hamburg, we took some hits but they all appeared to be superficial. Once in the Berlin area, a 110 managed to suprise us in the soup and hit us mutiple times knocking out some oxygen bottles, heat to the mid upper and wing hits. Searchlights were ineffective but a 109 managed to find us. Mid upper managed to get a solid burst into the hun and sent him away flaming. Got a visual on the markers and manage a course correction to get bombs on target. With heat out to the mid upper, we dropped to 10,000. Any flak we saw was ineffective. As we neared the coast, number four failed, maybe from earlier damage. Clear flying till north of Aakmar where we encountered a sneaky 110, spotted him and evaded and again the mid upper managed to hit him really hard, his third kill of the night. Remainder of flight and landing were uneventful.
