Banchee flew her first mission to Target throught numerous German aircraft. We were hit by a number of cannon shells and bullets, none of which did us any major damage. Aerocraft maintainance Chief reports damages to Oxygen supply, port rudder, port elevator and control cables, but none of it serious. None of our personal was hit by enemy gunfire.
As we approached Berlin, Me110 was spotted by Sgt. O'Looney and he blasted that Jerry before he got close enought to hit us. Over Berlin, Sgt. Simpson shot down another Me110 and that must have made Sgt. Simpson too excited as he missed our primary target with our bombs. We are sure we hit Berlin, but not our primary target. As we turned for home, Sgt. O'Looney spotted another Me110 coming up on us, and he blasted his second Jerry of the night.
The flight back to Britain was uneventful.
