PM013, PO A. Jaye reporting. Everything was going fine until we passed over the Dutch coast. Me-110 surprised us from behind, dropping hits all over the ship. I was able to shake him, but starboard turns were a bit sluggish the remainder of the mission. Also lost the radio, but we never use the bloody thing anyway. Sailed into the target zone, where we got lit up by searchlights. Got jarred pretty good by a couple of flak bursts, but B. Oliver stood fast, putting 75% target, for which he ought to be mentioned in despatches. Clear sailing from there on home. (12 Hits, 119 Peckham Points)
