First opposition encountered over target area with 110 hitting us, killing Schmid instantly and causing minor damage to the wings. A single-engined fighter attacked shortly after causing minor damage to the tail area and wings.
Flak caused further minor damage to the wings before Baldwin hit the target causing 40% damage.
The return trip was unopposed and landing was uneventful.
