"Berlin again ####" was the crew’s comments this time around. However our new flight engineer Sgt Veasey held the throttles hard against the stops and off we went.
Two Me110s appeared during the sea crossing, the first was driven off by Sgt James in the rear turret and the second managed three passes without hitting us. A third tame boar managed to sneak up and inflict hits on the wings & tail, injuring Sgt James before F/O Dennis shot him down from the mid upper position. Over Berlin we again managed to attract the searchlights and the inevitable wild boar fighter, but he was driven off before any damage was done.
Blinded by the searchlights Sgt Pullman did not get a clear sight of the markers, but all bombs were released cleanly.
A final 110 showed up on the way home, but he again proved to be a less than accurate marksman.
