Jerry was on us right away over the North Sea. Lost the heat in the Pilot compartment and Johnny got hit bad in zone 5. Skipper said we were going to continue as Trevor said the bleeding had stopped for Johnny and his guns were wrecked. Descended to Angels 10 and were OK until NE of Hamburg when another 110 found us. Thats when the Skipper got hit. So close to the target, I decided to continue. Danced with a 110 north of Potsdam, we got the better of him. Flak was thick over the target and we got bounced around, lost the tail guns. Return was not bad until north of Aakmar where a 110 gave us a warm farewell. Shot up the rudder, Killed Johnny and wounded Gerry. Landing was acceptable. MO says the skipper will recover, but, we'll need a new Pilot.
