We flew off to Berlin tonight in hopes of causing a severe blow to the enemy tonight. We are met by a ME-110 almost immediatley over Europe. The Mid Upper-Gunner gets a piece of him, causing some damage, but was hit in return and slightly wounded. We fly on without incident and are met yet again while approaching the target. But bad weather has affected both sides, we slip away & are over the target. A couple of pieces of Flak manage to hit us, causing & turn away!
We fly on toward home base, the weather slightly improves. Another 110 finds us and hits us hard! Causing some damage to out tail section. On another approach the tail Gunner saves us with a barrage of fire on the mark! The 110 is going down in flames! We manage to evade the enemy the rest of the way & land sucessfully at base.
