We are off on this mission, with our new Pilot determined to prove himself, by getting the target this time. We have no resistance all the way to the target then are met by a ME-109, who hits us hard! We sustain a few hits, but no serious damage. Then the Flak opens up on us! The #1 Engine is hit & has to be shut down! We are thrown off and miss the target again!
We pull out of there as quick as possible, & return for home. A ME-110 finds us and hits the St. wing flap, making it inoperable. We manage to get him on the next approach & damage the night fighter! We manage to limp home without further incident & land safely.
