Crossing the enemy coast,the first fighter appeared and knocked out the rear turret. After a brief discussion we decided to carry on to the target. Three more fighters had a go at us before the target, one of which was damaged by the mid-upper gunner, but little damage was done.
Over the target, flak wounded the rear gunner badly enough that he will not be returning to flying duties, but we were able to see the TIs and put the bombs somewhere near them. For once we had a quiet return trip.
