PM015, pilot officer A. Kinchloe, reporting. Going to Berlin on the first mission for a new plane with a totally virgin crew certainly focused our minds. We had to deal with quite a few vertical attacks by Me-110s, most of which we saw off, but a few caused significant damage. Worst were just before and after Berlin. The tail and both wings sustained heavy damage, including loss of the #1 engine. Worse as it left us so vulnerable, the rear turret motor got shot out. But we brought PM015 home. She might be missing parts, but the boys aren't. Bombing Accuracy: 30%. Enemy A/C: 1 damaged, 1 shot down. Damage: 20 hits, 214 Peckham Points.
