Quiet run all the way there and back. Flak hardly a bother as we lined up on the TI's and dropped our load. A quick turn to port and I brought the ship on a heading for home. Just crossing the coast we were picked up by a ME-110. S/F damage to the SW and our tail gunner thinks he got a piece of him on his second pass. Landed with no problems and we all piled out to look over the damage to the SW. Our Maint chief came up behind us and told me that his lads would have us good to go by the next op. I thanked him as our Radio Op called out that our ride was here and we all piled in. The lads were pretty cheerful and happy that we got back in one piece, but i somehow feel that our luck is not going to be this good all the time. Shaking that odd feeling off its time for our debrief and some breakfast!
