No trouble on the way out. Caught by a searchlight over the target, but missed by the flak. Maddox gave us a good run. A Me-110 found us over the Channel on the return. Hit us quite a few times before we got away, but didn't seem to cause any serious damage. On our approach, discovered the port landing gear wouldn't come down. Balanced on the starboard gear for as long as I could, then set the port wing down as nice as you please.
