Glasgow Gerty Mission 62 AAR : Brunswick

We head out to Brunswick tonight. We do not encounter enemy activity almost all the way to the target. A lone 110 finds us and gives us heck! We take a couple of hits, with superficial damage. We get him on his second pass, the Tail gunner, for a damaging hit! Poor weather over the target is obscurring the target. another 110 attacks us and we take hits to the fusalage. We get a kill shot with the mid-upper gunner, doing the honors, after the tailgunner softens him up. The poor weather affects the Flak batteries & we are able to approach the target & drop 30 percent on target! Nice job! We are attacked again as we head for home. Another 110 hits us fron behind, knocking out the tail gun! The Mid-upper gunner gets a piece of him. The nose gunner gets the finishing touch! It is truely a joint effort this time. In the poor weather, we travel undetected, the rest of the way home. A long uneventful trip back to the airfield.
