We didn't see many fighters on this mission. Light flak over the target and good weather as reported. Sgt Greene missed the target.
Over the Channel a 110G-4 attacked. He sneaked up on us and destroyed the tail guns. He must have had us on his radar as he made two more attacks. We couldn't fire back. Our turrets were destroyed. The fighter pilot hit us each time. Must have been an ace!
