Word from local French resistance forces suggest that the bomber V-Victory was shot down heading for England.
They have with them the Navigator and Flight Engineer. It is believed the remainder of the crew landed close to a German position and are assumed to have been captured.
French resistance personnel will do the best they can to return the two crew members back to England.
