We are off to the Railyards. to try & cause some serious damage. We are off to a good start, no enemy fighters. We get to the target undetected & drop twenty percent! We turn & our luck runs out. A Me-110 hits us hard! Causing a little damage. The Tail gunner gets him for the kill on his third pass. but not before the 110 knocks out the Tail guns! We escape into the night. another 110 finds us as we are almost out of Europe. We take a couple of shots to the #2 engine. The mid-upper gun damages the fighter. allowing us to escape. Bad weather makes the landing dangerous, but we manage.
