The Real Pipperoo Mission 69 AAR : Brest

What a strange flight! Not a nightfighter to be seen. And then over the target (at least, I'm assuming it was the target because there were sky markers drifting about) all we could see below us were clouds, but somehow a searchlight beam pierced them and latched on to us. Flak opened up all around and we caught a couple splinters. Then a single-engined followed the beam and attacked from the starboard side. Oak sent him to his maker in short order, though — that's his second in as many missions!

The trip home was just like the trip in. The photo is just going to show cloud. Madden hopes that this airfield is well outside Brest.
