We had a pretty good run to the target. Two tame boar fighters surprised us and although hits were felt all over the Lanc, all the damage was superficial. Sgt Callaghan in the mid upper turret finally shot down the second intruder as he lined up for a third pass.
Over the target the weather was grim and spotting the markers was almost impossible.
A final Me110 on the way home failed to score any hits on us.
