E Elsie Mission 69 AAR : Brest

The first shell from the 110 hit Forster in the groin. He didn't even have time to scream.

Encountered two nightfighters on the outward trip. the first took us by suprise, killed Forster and raked the starboard wing though damage to the aircraft was superficial and the 110 was driven off after the Nose turret caught him - looked like we wounded the pilot or Radar Op.

The Mid upper gunner took over the tail-end-charlie position and spent the rest of the trip sitting smeared with what remained of Herbert Foster looking out for more of the bastards.

All remained quiet until the target zone when we got buzzed again by an orbitting NF. We spotted this one and spoilt his aim at least. No flak hits and we did manage to drop our HE on the markers despite a decoy fire South of the Target zone.

Mid Upper Gunner took over the rear turret.
