A long trip made longer by the loss of an engine due to a fighter attack as we approached the target. We bombed sky markers without seeing the ground, so they could have gone anywhere. Picked up by another fighter as we left the target, although the MU/G claims it as damaged. Counted 20 cannon shell holes on return, port outer engine u/s and two wounded crew, navigator and R/G.
