Despite the short travel time we were jumped by Me-110s from the moment we approached the French coast. Thankfully of the two that attacked on the approach to the target neither managed to achieve any lasting damage.
The bomb run went like clockwork without any harrassment of any significance. Sgt. Widowson was most confident that we had hit our mark.
We were once again picked on by an Me-110 but again, no lasting damage was done.
Uneventful flight home. Text book landing.
