Mission 80: Dijon (Rail line)

To Target: We were not attacked until just before the bomb run when a Me-110 attacked; on the first two passes he hit us several times but did no damage. On his third pass he came at us head-on and Sgt. Cyril Barrette shot him down before he could get any shots off.
As we approached the target we were caught by a searchlight which brought in a 109. He made three attacks and then broke off doing no significant damage.
After we had dropped the bombs a 110 attacked The new lad, Sgt. Brian Delaney got a bit of him which seemed to dissuade the Kraut from coming back; he also did no real damage.
Bomb run: On - 30%.
Return: No further encounters.
