A busy time that and one that leaves me looking forward to going back to night flying. Quite what it would have been like without the Spits flying cover I shudder to think — they chased off most of the enemy aircraft before they got close enough to fire on us anyway.
Special mention to Lorrimer who not only hit the target but hit 3 fighters too. We didn't get any kills but my mid-upper wants one of his as a probable.
Damage was mostly superficial but my port rudder was shot away and the brakes on the port gear got bust up in the same pass.
