We never made it to the target courtesy of two Me110 tame boars that attacked us just after crossing the German coast. The second one managed to shatter the port aileron and wreck the oxygen system for the entire plane at which point we had to descend to 10,000 feet.
I felt bad as this was my first trip, but I made the decision to turn back.
Three more fighters hit us on the way home putting a hole in the starboard outer fuel tank.
With no fuel left in the tanks we put down at our home base thoroughly downcast.
