The last 200 miles to the target saw a number of combats with T/E fighters, one of which is claimed damaged by the R/G, and another of which badly wounded the MU/G, although he will recover to fly again with us. For once we saw the T.I.s and seem to have got a decent photo. We were picked up by another fighter as we left the target, and it is then that the R/G was killed in an exchange of fire.
