PM016 Mission 90 AAR : Dijon

PM016, pilot officer A. Mankiewicz reporting. Well, that was quite the introduction to aerial warfare! We got surprised by a Tame Boar in zone 6, and he gave us a right proper shoeing. Mid-upper gunner lost his oxygen and flight engineer D. Oscar was killed outright. Nothing we could do for the lad, so I elected to drop in elevation and carry on. Got surprised again in zone 7, but rear gunner G. Tennant managed to drive him off. Got hit by two flak bursts in the target zone, after which the plane was sluggish turning to port, a result of which was 0% on target. Evaded another Tame Boar southeast of Amiens, but that was about it. Major end item damage: Mid-Upper Gunner oxygen, rubber rafts, starboard wing flap, port wing aileron. 1 Me-110 damaged, 1 KIA, 16 hits, 126 Peckham Points.
