We suffered a complete intercom malfunction right when we hit the coast, I thought it best that Jerry get our delivery anyway, despite our dilemma and decided to continue on to the target zone. Search Lights found us over the target and immediately we were evading flak; after engine three and the port aileron were shot out we were off target and managed only to score a measly 5% on target. The return flight kept us busy fighting crosswinds with three engines and we limped home. no casualties to report. Engine #3 -out. Port Aileron -destroyed, and we counted two more holes near the bomb bay doors. 60 peckham points.
